Frequently Asked Questions

  • General Questions

    • Can I join as an affiliate just to get a 40% rebate on my own purchases?
No, only bona-fide affiliates may claim the affiliate sales commissions, and they may not claim commissions on sales to themselves. Because we use PayPal, the purchasers identity is known, if it matches an affiliate (whose PayPal identity must be known for them to recieve their payments) no affiliate payment will be made.

    • What is your refund policy?
We recognize that some people may want refunds on eBooks for various reasons, but once delivered it is not possible to 'return' the file you recieve (you would be sending back a copy). Unscrupulous individuals might buy and return book after book, keeping copies to read. To solve this dilemma, we offer a 'no questions asked' 14 day return policy, but all refunds are logged, and anyone with excessive returns will be 'banned' from further purchases.

    • How often do you pay commissions, and what is the minimum?
Both commissions and royalties are paid monthly (commissions are payments to the affiliate seller, royalties are payments to the author/originator of the eBook). There are no mimimums, even amounts under a dollar due will be paid -- payments go directly to your PayPal account by their 'mass pay' process, so it is mostly automatic, and you will not be charged by PayPal to receive the funds, even if you have a business account.

    • Can I continue to sell my eBook on my own site, or through another distributor, without going through ePMA?
Yes, our agreement is non-exclusive so you are free to do that ... but you will have to handle all of the payment arrangements, delivery, returns, refunds, customer problems, etc. yourself.

  • Questions About eBooks

    • I have published an eBook using another on-line publisher/distributor -- does that disqualify me?
No, our agreement is non-exclusive -- so long as your contract with the original publisher/distributor allows you to use other outlets, there is no problem.

    • Who sets the price for an eBook?
You do. We only accept eBooks priced at $2 or more, but other than that there are no limitations.

    • How large can my eBook be?
Since we deliver eBooks by email, we have to limit them to two megabytes or smaller.

  • Questions About Affiliate Program

    • Can I continue to sell Amazon (or other affiliate programs) Books on the same site with ePMA eBooks?
      Sure.

    • What kinds of promotional material will I find in the members-only section?
You will find whatever materials the author/creator of the eBook chooses to provide. We offer suggestions to eBook submitters on what to include (lengthy descriptions, quotes, cover-art and free chapters) but what they provide is up to them. You may also find feedback from persons who previously purchased the eBook.

    • Do I have to use their material just as they provide it?
No, by uploading descriptive material they authorize other members to use or modify that material to fit their own sites. Sample chapters and cover art can not be changed, but it is up to you whether to use them or not.

    • Can I get a free copy of the eBook to review on my site?
Not from us, but you can always contact the author and request one. Since reviews by people who also sell the book are not seen as impartial, we don't think they are very effective, but such decisions are up to the author.
